Peter Grant was born and raised in Illinois and has been a resident of Antioch for the past 22 years. To him, Lake County is one of the finest places in our state. He has 3 wonderful daughters, 2 fine sons, 3 grandchildren and two Gordon Setters. Pete is a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church and is very happy there. Peter says "they are a wonderful family".

Peter has worked in the trucking business for just over 40 years, both on the road and in the office. Pete founded and owned a distribution company and fully understands the pressures faced by small business and working people alike. He knows that we all must do well together and the best solutions are the ones which serve each person in our community.

Peter is Ward 1 Alderman of the Felters Subdivision, filling the post of long time board member Don Mueller. He has long been active in local government and is an elected Precinct Committeeman. Being a firm believer in bi-partisanship, Pete has fostered friendly, trusting relationships with people on both sides of the aisle. He takes great pride in accomplishing goals on behalf of the community and will take his cooperative, results oriented strategy to the Lake County Board.

Peter is an avid sportsman and enjoys hunting and fishing. He a life long member of Ducks Unlimited and in his spare time, Pete can be found duck and pheasant hunting with his two Gordons. Pete says, "Sportsmen and Sportswomen are the greatest conservationists around as far as I am concerned and I will work tirelessly to ensure our American heritage which has been passed down from generation to generation is protected."
